Katherine Agonis joined Mayer Brown in 2008, following a judicial clerkship
with the Honorable Ilana Diamond Rovner of the United States Court of Appeals
for the Seventh Circuit. Before joining Judge Rovner's chambers, Katherine was
a staff law clerk at the Seventh Circuit, working with all the judges of the
court in the research and disposition of more than 100 argued and unargued
appeals. Katherine has been the lead attorney in a pro bono appeal in the
Seventh Circuit and has assisted with appeals in both state and federal
courts. She has also taught Appellate Advocacy at the Loyola University
Chicago School of Law.
Katherine graduated with High Honors from the George Washington University
Law School in 2004 and was elected to the Order of the Coif. She served on
The George Washington Law Review and, as a Dean's Fellow, co-taught legal
research and writing to first-year law students. Katherine received her B.A. in
Political Science and French from the University of Rochester.
