Brette Steele is an associate in the Litigation and Supreme Court and Appellate practice groups. Since joining Mayer Brown in 2008, she has authored merits briefs in state and federal appellate courts, including two petitions for certiorari in the United States Supreme Court. Prior to joining the firm, Brette clerked for Judge Dorothy W. Nelson of the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit.
Brette earned her J.D. from the UCLA School of Law, where she was elected to the Order of the Coif and served as Symposium Editor for the UCLA Law Review. She earned her B.A. with highest honors from the University of California, Berkeley.
