Rory K. Schneider

Rory Schneider is a Supreme Court & Appellate associate in Mayer Brown’s New York office.  Rory’s work focuses primarily on product liability cases:  he has authored appellate briefs filed in the Eleventh Circuit and Florida state appellate courts, and he has worked on several jury trials, drafting motions in limine, motions for directed verdict, and motions for a new trial.  Outside the product-liability context, Rory has drafted dispositive motions in securities matters, as well as motions and amicus briefs in pro bono cases addressing the rights of same-sex couples.  Rory is also a contributor to Mayer Brown’s punitive damages blog, Guideposts.

Prior to joining Mayer Brown in 2014, Rory served as a law clerk to Judge Marjorie O. Rendell of the Third Circuit Court of Appeals.  Rory also spent a year as a litigation associate at another international law firm, during which time he briefed and argued a criminal appeal in the New York Supreme Court Appellate Division, First Department.  Rory received his JD summa cum laude from the University of Pennsylvania Law School, where he was a comments editor on the Law Review.
