Hans J. Germann
Hans Germann is a partner in Mayer Brown’s Litigation & Dispute Resolution practice. He is also a member of the firm’s telecommunications subgroup. Hans has significant experience in state and federal regulatory, trial and appellate litigation involving telecommunications, regulatory and administrative law, commercial disputes, preemption, jurisdiction and antitrust issues. He also has counseled clients regarding regulatory issues such as matters relating to the Telecommunications Act of 1996 and use of rights-of-way.
Hans is described by Chambers USA 2008 as “an exceptional lawyer” and “a great writer” with “an impressive ability to ‘marry business considerations and decisions with the relevant legal issues.'” Earlier in his career, Chambers USA 2005 described him as a “‘rising star’ [who] impresses with his quick uptake and dedication.’ He appears to work 24 hours a day,’ according to one commentator. . . . Hans joined the firm’s Chicago office in 2001, and became a partner in 2009.
