Peter B. Baumhart


Peter Baumhart is an associate in Mayer Brown’s Chicago office. He has briefed appeals in federal and state courts and at all levels of the judicial system, including petitions for certiorari in the US Supreme Court. Peter’s appellate practice is wide-ranging, but focuses on antitrust and commercial litigation. He also has substantial experience with federal motion practice.

Before joining Mayer Brown, Peter clerked for Judge J. Clifford Wallace of the US Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit and for Judge Jane J. Boyle of the US District Court for the Northern District of Texas. Peter earned his law degree from the University of Michigan Law School, where he served as a Notes Editor for the University of Michigan Journal of Law Reform and worked in the school’s General Litigation Clinic.”
