Utah v. Strieff (U.S. Supreme Court)

We filed an amicus brief on behalf of the ACLU and the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, arguing that evidence seized from a person in a search incident to arrest that follows an unlawful stop must be excluded under the Fourth Amendment, in order to promote judicial integrity, restore the status quo, and deter police misconduct.
